Rob has been with Rainbow Design Services since 2007 as our Field Services Manager. Rob describes his job in his words: "my responsibility is to bring any field work into the office to get designed and drafted. I work directly with each Regional Manager of a system to ensure our teams gather from the field what is needed to complete their project. I work with many key business partners and sub-contracting teams to coordinate field work and manage schedules to ensure that we always meet or exceed customer expectations. "

Rob started in the cable industry in 1981 as a Service Tech for Viacom cable. Rob worked in many capacities in the Cable Industry for the next 23 years including; launched & managed a 24-hour repair department; managed a 200 mile fiber ring build that encompassed 5 counties and 7 head ends; served as Technical Manager for the Brentwood system overseeing Installation and Repair services; Technical Operations Manager of the Head-end and Construction departments for the entire Nashville Comcast System; while in Nashville Rob worked for Viacom, Intermedia, AT&T Broadband and Comcast Cable. Rob has attended Technical College and Professional Development & Management training with Viacom and Comcast Cable including Customer Service, Project Management and Team Building courses. 

The rest of Rob's foundation comes from 23 years of success and experience in the Cable and Telecommunications industry. Rob says, "I love working for Rainbow Design Services because of the owner and the people we employ. Our owner has a sense of loyalty that is hard to find today, and he believes in the people that work for him. Mr. Mardis only does things that have the best interest of the employee and customer in mind, and there are not a lot of companies left today that place customer need and expectation before profit! At rainbow the customer is always first. Mr. Mardis and most of our staff and I also share a common principal: Actions speak louder than words!"
