Tim Gonyea joined Rainbow Design Services at the beginning of 2011 as Director of Customer Operations.  Tasked with managing our rapidly expanding production operations and with overseeing and further professionalizing delivery to our many customers, Tim brings with him more than 30 years of experience in the Telecommunications Industry.  

Prior to joining the Rainbow Design team Mr. Gonyea worked for IMMCO Inc. as V.P. of Operations; for Cox Communications as a Regional Design and Engineering Manager; and for 13 years in various positions with Advanced.1 including Operations, Sales and Design Management.  Prior to his long stint with Advanced.1 Tim worked in Denver for United Cable, in Virginia as a System Manager for TCI, for United Artists as Design Manager and for roughly 5 years operating his own services company marketing to the Communications industry.  

Tim is well known in the Cable/MSO market as an innovator, strategic thinker, and as a deeply experienced Engineer with Fiber, HFC and RF infrastructure as well as with GIS technologies.  In his previous positions Tim was responsible for Design and Engineering, Design and Engineering consulting, building of proposals, winning business, and most importantly for overseeing the delivery of major Fiber, HFC and RF Network Infrastructure projects with and for Tier-1 service providers in North America and abroad.

Tim's knowledge of Outside Plant, Inside Plant, CAD, GIS, and the core value propositions necessary to justify building, expanding, and maintaining Networks has been invaluable to him and his previous employers.  Tim is known for being a major contributor in successful projects, whether working for the carrier or the consultant.   Tim holds Fiber Optic and System Maintenance certifications with NCTI, as well as with AT&T for Fiber Splicing.
